I get an error message when trying to register the software
Problem:
When trying to submit your registration details, you receive the message "The following MySql error occurred: Can’t connect to MySQL server on ‘www.catbase.co.uk".
Solution:
You need to open port 3306 in your firewall. If you are on a network and your internet connection goes through a router, please ask your network administrator to open Port 3306.

Windows XP:
- Open your Control Panel
- Open Network Settings
- Select ‘change windows firewall settings’.
- Click on Exceptions tab
- Click on the Add Port button.
- Type in MySQL for the name of the port and 3306 for the port number. Select TCP
- Save your settings
Windows Vista:
- Open your Control Panel
- Open Windows Firewall
- Click on “Allow a program through Windows Firewall”
- In the Exceptions tab in the Windows Firewall Settings window, click Add program
- Select CatBase in the list of programs, and click OK
Macintosh
- Open your System Preferences
- Click on Security in the Personal section
- Select Set access for specific services and applications
- Click Add (+)
- Locate the CatBase program and double-click it
- Make sure that Allow incoming connections is selected
- Close the window
