You receive the error message when publishing some data:

"A runtime error occurred at line 156 when executing the method : EXPORTPICTURE The pointer is not properly initlalised."

(Note - the line number might be different)

Explanation

Somehow, the Picture Specification has lost its reference to the field containing the picture field number, and it can't find the picture pathname. This can typically happen when a Publishing Style Sheet has been copied from one database to another.

The solution

1. Open your Publishing Style Sheet
2. Navigate to the Paragraph that contains the Picture Element
3. Open the Picture Element
4. Open the Picture setup dialog by clicking on the Picture Setup button
5. Re-select the picture field in the popup list of Picture Name Fields
6. Save it
